Saskia graduated in 2022 with a BA in International Relations, where her primary focus was in global health policy. She had an acute interest in the impact of national health policy and medical response on patients during a crisis such as the COVID-19 pandemic. Prior to her studies, she has worked alongside various nonprofits, such as Comic Relief and Children in Need, to raise awareness for children who take care of family members with long term or terminal illness. Saskia assisted in delivering lectures as part of a pediatrician learning course to help doctors and nurses identify vulnerable children who may be facing a life-changing family diagnosis.

Saskia is interested in the benefits of patient-centered care and how to raise awareness to patients and the general population alike. She has a vested interest to improve outcomes of patients facing long term illness, including their immediate families.
