The International Consortium for Health Outcomes Measurement (ICHOM) is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Jens Deerberg-Wittram, MD to its Board of Directors.
Dr. Deerberg-Wittram is a globally recognised leader in value-based healthcare and patient-centred outcomes measurement. He currently serves as a Professor at Technische Universität Berlin and as a Senior Fellow at Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin, where he is affiliated with the Charité Center for Patient-Centered Outcomes Research (CPCOR). In these roles, he focuses on advancing outcomes-driven health system transformation, research, and education.
Dr. Deerberg-Wittram has been instrumental in shaping the global movement toward value-based care. He was the Founding President of ICHOM and served in that role during the organisation’s formative years, laying the foundation for the development and global adoption of standardised patient-centred outcome measures. He has also worked closely with Professor Michael E. Porter and Robert Kaplan on value-based healthcare strategy since 2009 and held academic affiliations including as a Senior Institute Associate and faculty member at Harvard Business School’s Institute for Strategy and Competitiveness.
His leadership spans clinical, operational, and strategic roles across healthcare systems, including more than a decade as a healthcare executive in Germany and advisory roles on national and international quality and health measurement bodies.
Dr. Jens Deerberg-Wittram joins the ICHOM Board of Directors at a pivotal moment, as the organisation expands its global impact and accelerates the adoption of standardised outcome measurement to drive health system improvement. His deep commitment to patient value and transparent measurement will be invaluable as ICHOM continues to guide providers, policymakers, and patient communities worldwide.
