Bladder Cancer Norway

Bladder Cancer Norway is a registered, non-profit, membership-based organisation for bladder cancer sufferers - patients and their families - in Norway.

Bladder cancer is dominated by men: 70% of the patients are male; 30% are female. It is currently the 6th most frequently diagnosed cancer among men of all ages in Norway (2025: 1.928 new cases, 17.108 persons living with the condition, and 451 deaths from the disease). Bladder cancer has, for a long time, been neglected regarding attention, research, resources, and, hence, professional development.

Through written and oral information, providing meeting places, exchange of patients’ experiences, collection and systematising patient-reported experience measures, approaching health authorities and health politicians, as well as cooperating with a wide range of partners, our goal is that:

  • fewer people develop bladder cancer
  • more people survive
  • those living with bladder cancer have a better life.
Our slogan is “Security and support based on professional quality and care”, and we strive every day to fulfil this. You can reach us at: https://blaerekreftnorge.no/
