Bangkok Dusit Medical Services is continuing to strengthen its position as a global leader in value-based healthcare through a series of landmark achievements in partnership with International Consortium for Health Outcomes Measurement (ICHOM).
The healthcare network has successfully achieved multiple ICHOM Accreditations across hospitals within its network, reinforcing its commitment to measuring and improving the outcomes that matter most to patients. The internationally recognized framework focuses on tracking patient outcomes before, during, and after treatment to support better clinical quality, long-term recovery, and quality of life.
As part of its continued expansion, BDMS plans to achieve ICHOM Level 1 Accreditation across 18 hospitals in 2026. Several hospitals within the network have already secured Level 1 Accreditation, including Bangkok Heart Hospital and Bangkok Hospital Phuket for Heart Failure, alongside multiple hospitals accredited for Stroke care.
In 2025, Bangkok Hospital Pattaya became the first hospital in the world to achieve ICHOM Level 2 Accreditation in both Coronary Artery Disease and Stroke, while also receiving Level 1 Accreditation in Heart Failure and Diabetes. Wattanosoth Cancer Hospital also made history as the world’s first hospital to receive ICHOM Level 2 Accreditation in Breast Cancer.
Dr. Pongtorn Kietdumrongwong, Director of Project Management at BDMS, said these achievements reflect the organization’s ongoing commitment to delivering world-class, patient-centered healthcare through multidisciplinary and outcomes-driven care models.
By combining advanced medical technologies, personalized care pathways, and continuous health outcomes monitoring, BDMS continues to advance sustainable healthcare excellence while helping elevate Thailand’s healthcare standards on the global stage.
