Global Breast Cancer Network

ICHOM has brought together leading breast cancer experts to collaborate on improving care and patient outcomes. The collaborative focuses on building a community of practise using standardized outcomes measurement and secure federated edge computing to enable shared learning, and identifying opportunities to strengthen clinical pathways, equity, and shared decision-making.

Participation Options

  • Community Member: Implement the Set while learning alongside peers through a collaborative community.
  • Data sharing Participant: Share data for joint aggregate analysis, gain insights from comparative analyses together with other data sharing participants, and join the community to exchange experiences, learn from peers, and help shape future best practices. Participation can also contribute to research publication initiatives.

The full ICHOM Non-Metastatic Breast Cancer Set includes 129 outcome variables and is well published in the literature (e.g., Schouwenburg, et al., JAMA oncology, 3(5), 677-685.) The primary subset includes 29 of these outcome measures along with the case-mix and treatment variables. These measures form the foundation of the Non-Metastatic Breast Cancer Learning Collaborative, providing a consistent bases for comparing outcomes and practices across participating sites.
