We’ve joined forces with the International Consortium for Health Outcomes Measurement (ICHOM), with the common aim to expand the reach of patient involvement in healthcare innovation, ensuring that patient perspectives are prioritised across continents, ultimately improving healthcare outcomes on a global scale.
ICHOM is a non-profit dedicated to revolutionising healthcare by setting global standards for patient-centered outcome measures, driving value-based care worldwide. We at EUPATI are excited to work together towards improving healthcare outcomes and ensuring that patient needs and perspectives remain at the forefront of healthcare innovation.
Two of our EUPATI Fellows, part of the ICHOM Advisory Committee, reflected on this collaboration:
“Being part of ICHOM is valuable because their mission to promote patient-centered outcome measures aligns with EUPATI’s focus on advocating for patient involvement in healthcare. ICHOM’s emphasis on value-based care ensures that outcomes important to patients are prioritised, leading to better decisions and improved access. Both ICHOM and EUPATI also provide collaborative platforms for patients, healthcare professionals, and researchers, enhancing the global impact of patient partnerships.” –Angie Botto-van Bemden
“As an EUPATI Fellow, I’ve expanded my skills and network in patient engagement, which has significantly impacted my work. The EUPATI program provided me with tools to promote patient-centered solutions, closely aligning with ICHOM’s focus on value-based healthcare standards. My training has helped me bridge the gap between patients and stakeholders, a role I’ve embraced at ICHOM as an abstract referee and committee member. While my primary connection to ICHOM is through Patients Unite (soon PiCC United), EUPATI has been a catalyst for my deeper involvement in international patient engagement, empowering me to lead initiatives beyond my work within Danish regional legislation.” – Lisbeth Snede
