We are pleased to announce that in the last three months, a number of additional healthcare organizations have achieved ICHOM Accreditation, marking a major milestone in the global shift toward Value-Based Healthcare.
Our Accreditation program recognizes institutions that successfully track, measure, and integrate standardized, patient-centred outcome measures into clinical practice—ensuring that treatment success is evaluated by results that matter most to the patients themselves. The application process itself is designed to minimise administration, allowing hospitals to keep their focus on their patients.
Spotlight on BDMS Group Leadership in Thailand
Leading the charge this month is Bangkok Dusit Medical Services (BDMS), Thailand’s premier hospital network, and a long term ICHOM Partner. Building on existing accreditation of fifteen other BDMS hospitals and across multiple conditions, the following facilities within the group achieved Level 1 credentials:
- Bangkok International Hospital: Earned accreditation for Low Back Pain and `Stroke
- Phyathai 2 Hospital: Recognized for excellence in Breast Cancer care and Stroke
- for Stroke
Highlighting the vision behind this achievement, Dr. Kongkiat, CEO of BDMS Group, emphasized the transformative nature of patient-focused care:
“Our aim is to demonstrate more widely our focus on delivering results that are most important to our patients. As our hospitals continue to gain ICHOM Accreditation, and at higher levels, we are proud of the messages it sends; to patients, that they’ll get the best care possible. To our clinical teams, that they can feel proud of their work. And to the wider healthcare ecosystem around the world, that transitioning to a patient-centred care model is not just possible, but the future.”
ICHOM-Accredited Institutions are now found in 20 countries around the world
These accreditations in Thailand this quarter are joined by a wide range of leading healthcare providers from around the world, Bupa Care Connect in Saudi Arabia, for Stroke, and the National Renal Care network in South Africa for Chronic Kidney Disease.
Advancing Outcomes-Driven Healthcare
By achieving Level 1 status, these facilities benchmark their clinical care against international standards set by ICHOM. Their accomplishment signals a growing global movement toward medical models that prioritize long-term quality of life, care transparency, and actionable patient feedback over traditional volume metrics.
