The Valor Saúde Brasil (IVSB) Leaders Award returns in 2025 with expanded reach and deeper impact, honoring institutions that are reshaping Brazilian healthcare through transparency, efficiency, and patient-centered outcomes. Led by Grupo IAG Saúde, the award has evolved from a single national event into a regionally structured program, allowing for broader participation and stronger local engagement. Building on its success, the IVSB also offers operational support — in 2023, award-winning institutions received a year of complimentary consulting and healthtech infrastructure to implement ICHOM’s Sets of Patient-Centered Outcome Measures. Today, 13 of those organizations are actively collecting patient-reported outcomes, marking a major step toward standardized, value-driven care in Brazil.
Institutions are evaluated using a data-driven methodology based on the value equation: outcomes that matter to patients divided by the cost to achieve them. With 587 hospitals, 201 insurers, and two state health systems already participating, the award recognizes leaders across three categories — overall value delivery, excellence in specific clinical pathways, and innovative value-based practices. More than a prize, the IVSB Award serves as a strategic platform for benchmarking, learning, and scaling what works — offering a model for VBHC adoption that is measurable, replicable, and deeply aligned with global efforts to improve care outcomes.
