LINKEDIN LIVE: VBHC Papers You Should Definitely Read from 2025 and 2026

LINKEDIN LIVE: VBHC Papers You Should Definitely Read from 2025 and 2026

Date: Thursday 15 October 2026
Time: 10:00 ET | 15:00 BST | 16:00 CEST & SAST
Duration: 60 minutes

The research published on value-based healthcare over the past two years shows how far the field has travelled, across methods, measurement, implementation and care delivery. With so much being published, which papers deserve a place at the top of your reading list?

In this LinkedIn Live, Dr Thomas H. Lee (Chief Medical Officer, Press Ganey, and Editor in Chief of NEJM Catalyst) hosts a conversation with two international leaders in VBHC: Professor Paul van der Nat (St. Antonius Hospital, Santeon and Radboud University Medical Centre, the Netherlands) and Dr Carisi Polanczyk (Hospital Moinhos de Vento). Each guest will share a brief update on VBHC progress at their own institutions and across their regions, before the conversation turns to the recent papers they most admire: the work of others that has shaped their thinking and that they believe the VBHC community should read. The session closes with a look at what should be researched next and what the community hopes to see addressed in next year’s papers.

Why Attend?
This session is a celebration of the VBHC community and the quality of work being published around the world, from established international leaders to the next generation of experts coming through. Attendees will come away with a curated reading list of four recent papers from 2025 and 2026, two selected by Professor Paul van der Nat and two by Dr Carisi Polanczyk, along with their reasons for considering each one essential reading. The selection spans methods, measurement, implementation and innovation in care delivery, drawn from different health systems around the world.
