Low Back Pain

The standard set

The ICHOM Standard Set for Low Back Pain is the result of hard work by a group of leading physicians, measurement experts and patients. It is our recommendation of the outcomes that matter most to patients with low back pain. We urge all providers around the world to start measuring these outcomes to better understand how to improve the lives of their patients.

1 Includes operative mortality, nerve root injury including cauda equina, deep wound infection, pulmonary embolus, wrong site procedure, vascular injury, dural tear, other, and need for rehospitalisation.

2 Tracked via the Oswestry Disability Index (ODI)

3 Tracked via the Numeric Pain Rating Scale (NPRS)

4 Tracked via the EuroQol-5D (EQ-5D)
