A major step forward in healthcare transformation is here: ICHOM has launched its expanded Accreditation Program, developed in partnership with Capadev LLP. This innovative initiative builds on ICHOM’s global leadership in standardized outcomes measurement and is set to revolutionize how healthcare providers prioritize patient outcomes while advancing value-based healthcare (VBHC) around the world.
Designed with a three-tiered framework, the program offers a clear, progressive pathway for providers to benchmark their progress, achieve certification, and gain recognition for their commitment to patient-centered care. The defined certification levels (Levels 1–3) offer healthcare organizations a clear, practical pathway to track measurable milestones, evaluate their current practices and maturity levels in partnership with ICHOM, and define next actions to progress toward achieving accreditation as a global VBHC Pioneer.
Jennifer Bright, President of ICHOM, and Fares Saade, Senior Partner at Capadev LLP, have both highlighted how this program bridges a critical gap in healthcare by linking organizational milestones directly to the outcomes that matter most to patients.
With Level 1 certification already achieved by five healthcare entities across three countries—including Saudi German Hospitals (Riyadh, Jeddah and Asser); Bangkok Pattaya Hospital in Thailand; and GluCare in the UAE—the Accreditation Program is already making a global impact. Interest in Accreditation is rapidly expanding, with strong engagement from regions including the Americas, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia. This highlights the programme’s potential to drive meaningful advancements in patient-centered care on an international scale.
