Andrew’s first-hand experience in value-based health care transformation involved working closely with patients and families to understand the experiences and challenges in undergoing and managing care for an array of congenital heart anomalies. His work is reflected in a unique, comprehensive Journey Map that describes the lived experience and path of care for children born with hypoplastic left heart syndrome. Andrew also implemented a Time Driven – Activity Based Costing process that determined the costs of key elements of care for these children. He graduated in the inaugural cohort of the University of Texas at Austin’s Master of Science in Health Care Transformation degree program.
