Umanga graduated from University College London with a Master's in Clinical Mental Health Sciences after completing a Bachelor's in Psychology at the University of St Andrews. Prior to joining ICHOM as a Research Associate, Umanga has had experience working in a psychological outpatient clinic where she was involved in the administering of patient-reported outcome measures to determine treatment interventions. She has also worked as a Research Assistant on studies exploring both psychosis and depression.
Umanga is interested in global health inequalities and the improvement of health outcomes through the delivery of patient-centered care.
