The ICHOM team is pleased to announce a new Strategic Alliance with the Specialist Diabetes Treatment & Research Centre (Imperial College London Diabetes Centre).
We are delighted to partner with one of Abu Dhabi’s state-of-the-art diabetes clinics, which is at the very forefront of value-based health care thinking. The Centre’s Strategic Alliance with ICHOM represents both organizations’ commitment to outcomes measurement as a means of driving value in health care, and the development of a Standard Set of outcomes that matter most to people with Type-2 diabetes.
Dr Mazen Al Dahmani, Deputy Chief Executive Officer at Imperial College London Diabetes Centre, said, “We are delighted to announce our latest partnership with ICHOM, an initiative that supports the delivery of value-based healthcare as we establish a global standard for type-2 diabetes management. At ICLDC we are at the forefront developing a value-based approach that has the potential for positive change in clinical practices. The partnership arrangement enables us to pool our resources and expertise for the best possible outcome, and is aligned with wider global and regional initiatives in healthcare.”
ICHOM’s President, Dr Christina Akerman said, “The Imperial College London Diabetes Centre’s work with ICHOM represents both organizations’ long-term commitment to driving value, not just locally in Abu Dhabi, but across health systems globally.”
